Most lessons fade by Monday. This one reminds you.
Every week at Al Khaadem, hours of teaching pass through the hall. Quotes that could shift a heart. Reminders that could change a week. Most of it is heard once and forgotten by the next solah.
GEMs of the Week gathers the most beneficial moments from our classes, then turns them into a clear email you can read, reflect on, and act upon. Direct YouTube timestamp lesson links. One simple practice to carry into daily life.
Subject
This week: trust in Allah, sincerity in worship, and a heart that returns to what matters.
As-Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
We pray this reaches you in the best state of iman and health. In this week's GEMs, we revisit reminders from Al Khaadem's classes on building inner calm through trust in Allah, and improving our character through sincere worship.
Don't Be Sad · Strengthen the Heart
This session reminded us that peace begins when the heart stops leaning on temporary things and returns its hope to Allah.
- Think well of Allah. Watch from 00:16 When life feels heavy, do not let fear write the story for you. Expect mercy, guidance, and wisdom from Allah. Action: Before making du'a today, pause and renew your certainty that Allah hears you and knows what is best for you.
- Faith must become action. Watch from 00:18 A hopeful heart is not passive. It moves toward prayer, service, charity, patience, and better choices. Action: Choose one good deed this week and protect it like an appointment. Two raka'at, a parent call, sadaqah, or five minutes of dhikr.
Islamic Etiquette · Worship That Shapes Character
This lesson reminded us that knowledge should soften our speech, improve our homes, and make us more careful with the rights of Allah and people.
- Worship should change you. Watch from 00:17 If our ibadah is growing, our patience, humility, and manners should grow with it. Action: After your next prayer, ask: "What is one part of my character this salah should improve?"
- Review the day before it leaves. Watch from 00:05 A few quiet minutes of muhasabah can uncover what needs repentance, gratitude, and a better intention tomorrow. Action: Tonight, write one thing to thank Allah for and one thing to correct before sleeping.
May Allah make these reminders beneficial, keep our hearts close
to Him, and allow us to act upon what we learn. Share this with
someone who may need the reminder this week.
Barakallahu feekum,

Small actions for real change
Every section closes with one action. A du'a to make, a habit to start, a character trait to strengthen, or a sunnah to revive.
May these insights inspire us to grow in faith and character, inshaAllah.
